EX. 20. ENVISIONING A CONSCIOUS LOVE RELATIONSHIP
The following technique is perhaps the most important. If you both employ it daily,
it will open your hearts and bring you into a loving union. If you find you do
not have time for the whole process, eliminate steps 8 to 12 and simply focus
on visualizing a positive relationship with your loved one as in steps 13 to 15.
GUIDELINES FOR POSITIVE PROJECTION FOR A POSITIVE RELATIONSHIP
A. THE BODY POSITION: Sit with the spine straight. Allow the muscles to comfortable
and relaxed.
B. THE SURROUNDINGS should be protected from disturbances. If alone, disconnect
the telephone. It is better to be alone unless the others are also participating
with you.
C. THE TECHNIQUE
1. Take 5 to 10 slow, deep breaths and relax more deeply with each breath.
2. Take three deep breaths in this way: Hold your breath while focusing on the
forehead, and then while exhaling, imagine the number three flashing in the mind
three times. Then do the same with the number two three times, and then the number
one three times.
3. Check the body and relax the parts that are not completely relaxed.
4. Count backward from 10 to 1. With each number, feel your body relax and your
mind fall inward into a deeper and deeper state of relaxation.
5. Imagine you are in a place in nature (real or imaginary) where you feel even
more peaceful and relaxed.
6. Now bring to mind the person with whom you would like to improve your communication.
D. FIVE POSITIVE QUALITIES
7. Bring to mind five positive qualities you recognize and respect in that person.
E. EXPRESSION
8. Visualize yourself approaching him / her with a positive attitude and expressing
with love and without complaining, criticizing or accusing:
a. Your needs
b. Your feelings
c. Your beliefs
d. What you ask from him / her
9. Project that he / she hears you and understands you, regardless as to whether
he/ she agrees or can respond to what you are asking.
10. Now imagine that he / she expresses to you:
a. His/her needs
b. His/her feelings
c. His/her beliefs
d. What he/she asks from you
11. Imagine you can hear his or her needs, feelings and beliefs with a peaceful
and objective mind, regardless as to whether you agree or can accommodate what
he or she they is asking.
E. FREEDOM FROM BELIEFS
12. Now imagine you are totally free from the needs you had until now from that
person and that you can be happy whether or not he/she responds. Imagine yourself
with inner peace and fulfillment and that you can be happy regardless of what
the other decides to do.
F. UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
13. Now mentally bring the other into your love center in the area of your chest.
Love him/her there regardless of his behavior or whether he/she can respond to
your needs.
G. IMAGINE A HAPPY HARMONIOUS RELATIONSHIP
14. Imagine you have a happy harmonious relationship with that person on all levels,
including communication and behavior.
15. Imagine the both of you in light.
H. RETURNING
16. Count gradually from 1 to 5 as you slowly arrive at the waking state.
WE SUGGEST YOU PERFORM THIS EXERCISE AT LEAST ONCE PER DAY.
