Aggelos is confused. He does not enjoy going to work. He is not lazy. He is an industrious and creative person, but his work does not stimulate him, it does not have meaning for him anymore. He would like to do something which has more to do with creativity and people. He cannot stand the distant relationships and meaningless discussions in his work environment.

He is afraid of how he will support his family until he is able to find some other solution. He would not like to work in another office, nor work for someone else. He would like to be free to create his own job and do something which would be beneficial to people, improve their lives in some way.

Elli agrees, loves him very much and would like him to be happy, but her fears are even greater. When he starts talking about quitting, she goes into panic and immediately into the interrogator mode, bombarding him with questions and criticism which mirror exactly his own fears. But when he hears these fears from her, he forgets that they are his own being reflected, and gets angry and starts shouting and then goes off pouting and feeling the victim and plays the silent one for a few days.

Both are confused. Both would like for Aggelos to have a happy work environment but both are afraid of how they will make it economically. This problem is having its toll on their relationship. He is not happy and she is afraid. Even though they love each other, they often project their negativity on each other

What could there lessons be in this situation?

Angellos: Could he need to learn some of the following lessons: To overcome his fear of financial insecurity? To clarify his life values and goals? To learn to love his job as it is? To overcome his fear of what others may think if he quits? To express himself more clearly at work so as to create an environment suits him better? To search inwardly more deeply to discover what it is exactly which makes his work unpleasant for him? To develop greater faith in God's promise that if he does His (God's) work, that all his needs will be cared for? To free himself from various attachments to comforts which create more need for money? To learn to love and accept those persons in his work environment more unconditionally? To follow his dream and have faith that all with work out?

Elli: Could she need to learn some of the following lessons: First of all some of the same lessons that Angellos has about faith and economic security, and simple living? That life gives her and will give her at every moment exactly what she needs to survive and grow spiritually? To feel happy and at ease with less money? To have faith in God's promise that all will be provided if they do his work? To live her life according to her truest values and offer the results to God? To be more eloquent and not so pressuring in communicating her needs to Angellos? To help Angellos understand what is going on in him and what he needs to do? To get a job and help out until Angellos can decided what he wants?
